Weekend in San Francisco
CC and I just spent an amazing weekend in San Francisco with my parents. My birthday is next weekend, and as a gift, my folks treated us to a hotel, dinner and tickets to Beach Blanket Babylon. It’s was divine. The whole city is decorated for the holidays, so there was so much to see! Every minute was fabulous.
CC and I got into the city around 2 pm and parked near fisherman’s wharf. We walked around the park where the cable cars turn around, saw the historical ships, had a late lunch and just reviled in the fact that we had gotten out of town for the weekend.
We met up with my folks a couple hours later and had some wine with them in the bar. We spent two hours talking, watching football and enjoy each others company. It was so nice. I hadn’t gotten to do that with my parents in a long time.
They took us to this darling Italian restaurant, Capp’s Corner, that was totally our style. Small, intimate and killer food. The theater for Beach Blanket Babylon is right next door, so it couldn’t have been more convenient.
The show was the best thing I have ever seen. CC was amazed at the pace of it and that it was over before it had even sunk it. He loved it. He laughed so hard and enjoyed every minute of it. It was absolutely one of the best shows I have ever seen. Plus, they did some holiday numbers and wore amazing Christmas hats!
We took our time getting home yesterday. We drove around the city for an hour, had lunch at Pier 39 and really just enjoyed each other (my parents headed straight home after breakfast, my dad had to show a house). We needed this break and we needed to spend the time together. It was so needed and do greatly appreciated.
