Loreal Magic BB Cream

January 5, 2013

Leading up to my vacation I had a stack of magazines that had accumulated. I just didn’t have the time to sit down with them during the holidays. I receive so many magazines a month and very few of them do I read as soon as I get them. My plan was to read them while on vacation. 3-5 a day was a perfectly reasonable goal, which I easily accomplished.

I ripped out a sample in a November issue of either Marie Claire or Allure that caught my eye. It was the Loreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream. The sample shade was “light” and it included a $1 off coupon. I figured I would try it, why not? The last BB cream I tried was okay, but it didn’t agree with my oily skin. With a free sample i’m always game to try it out.

When I opened the small package the next morning I ended up with way too much on my fingers. The sample had enough for at least 2-3 days of product. When I smoothed it into my skin I was first surprised by the texture, and was delighted at how it blended. I had too much on so I blended the excess out with a sponge. The product starts out white but becomes a flesh tone as it warms on your fingertips. It melted into my skin, giving me a very even and silky base. My foundation went on super smooth and I needed less then I had used before.

The next test for me was how it would fair with my oily skin. My skin actually seemed more balanced and wasn’t very oily at the end of the day. That was a notable difference. I decided to pick up the full size product when I went shopping later that evening. It was located in the cosmetics display with Loreal’s other primers and foundations. It retailed at CVS for $11.79, but I had my $1 off coupon. I’m on to day 4 of using the product and I’m pretty darn happy with my purchase.
