Time Heals Wounds

April 3, 2014

With the onset of this tendinitis issue, I did reduce my work load the last two weeks. I didn’t post open appointments online and I only booked appointments that actually called or texted me. My income is definitely down, but as of today, I have no pain.

I did leave work on Saturday with a swollen wrist and horrible pain. I did one massage. One. I did however also do some deep tissue massage into my palm, thumb joint and forearm. The work I did was exceedingly painful. But by Monday (which I took off) I had no pain. I did 3 90 minute massages on Tuesday, and another 90 minute last night. I seriously had no pain. 2 weeks ago i would have been at home and been very uncomfortable.

Tomorrow I am fairly booked up and I am looking forward to my day. It’s exciting to know that between the rest and massage work I did on myself really did help. I am going to make a habit of taking Mondays off in the future, and if that isn’t possible, I will then take off a different day. But I think making sure that I get a full two days of rest every week will greatly help my tendinitis.

I really love what I do, I can’t imagine doing anything else. I just need to be more aware of what my body is telling me. If I need a break, I need to take one. I want to do this for a long time, I can’t have anything standing in my way.
