3/7/18

March 7, 2018

When I got up today, I awoke from a weird dream that left me anxious. Not a great way to start the day. Made it though my work and figured it would be like any other day. When I got out of the car today after getting to work, I grabbed my travel mug of tea. The bottom drops away from the lid, hits the ground the explodes into my astonished face. I’m now soaked in tea. At least it’s not sticky. But I noticed that I also forgot to put on eyeliner and half my mascara was now gone, rinsed off from the tea. After my first client I headed to Safeway for the basics: mascara, eyeliner, and coffee. Screw tea. It’s obviously a coffee day. Later, My mom called me to inform that the oncologist found 2 cancerous, but highly treatable, spots on one of dad’s lymph nodes. Matt and I had a fight. Additionally, my brother took Dad to the ER at 8pm because he was complaining of extreme back pain, possibly related to the procedure they had to do last week.

So dad will for sure start chemo again in a few weeks. Tomorrow we should know what’s going on with his pain tonight. It was just one of those days. Hard to find the happy today, I’m just grateful I made it home, I made it though, and tomorrow we start at the next spot.
