I feel like the last 24 hours are telling me something. It’s like I need to live my life with more purpose. I can’t be a sideline observer. I need to jump fully in with both feet. I think I am mostly “in” already, but I can do more. I need to challenge myself and beat my fears.

Seeing my dad today was terrifyingly heartbreaking. He was in shock, confused, and medicated. Surgery is delayed until tomorrow (fingers crossed that they will do it., they are starting with the femur first, is their main concern at this point. It’s so overwhelming and I have ran a gamut of emotions all day. I’m kind of numb, but still feeling everything. I don’t know if that makes any sense, but that is how I can best articulate it. I’m sacred. I can tell you that much.

Today I am grateful for:

1. hugs.

2. Friends who let you speak openly.

3. Kind phone calls.
